OK here is my question and it doesn't make very much sense but lets see what kind of feedback I can get out of it...

I did an LT4 hotcam swap on my 97 LT1 after I get the car all back together I then take the car for a ride and it drives excellent (shifts good and everything) Then today I get the rockers adjusted again and I then take it for another ride I get on it from a dead stop and the car will just NOT shift into 2nd under wide open throttle. If I drive the car like an old man it will shift and it seems fine. So I check the trans fluid, it is still pink like new and it does NOT smell "burnt" and the level is full...

Any suggestions on what else I can check out??

 

does it bounce off the limiter? MIght need to get your shift point's adjusted.. the motor could be accel. too fast for the puter to keep up.. Any ses light's?

 

I have my rev limiter turned up pretty high because I was spraying the car last year with my MSD 6AL with a 6200 rev chip and my stock limiter is at 7000 so it doesn't shut fuel off when Im spraying the car. When I drove the car the other day it shifted perfect & everything and now it goes all the way up to 6500 and it will not shift at all...

No SES lights, but Im not sure if my PCM is reset yet since I had my battery disconected for a while during my cam swap...

 

Hmph.. Sounds like a tranny issue .. I have heard of some prob's w/ OBD 1 car's and shifting.. any SES Light's?

 

No SES lights and this is on my 97 LT1 car
