Yes, my car also came with the 150 speedometer, and was limited to 108 MPH, because of the lower-rated tires- came from the factory with 235/55-16's, a rather odd choice for a "performance" sporty car....

 

All this doesn't explain why he goes through 3 shifts before 35mph. I'm assuming there is a much larger underlying problem. Most likely something in the PCM or a sensor. I've had my tranny rebuilt and going through the gears I go for 3rd at ~85mph w/3.42 rear. I'm guessing it is limited, but something is also messed up somewhere else.

 

does it have dump truck gears in the rear end?
