Problem installing slave cylinder into T56

I just finished installing my freshly rebuilt T56 and street twin. I went to install the slave cylinder (cylinder that disengages the clutch) and the ball end and boot are sticking out so far that it won't go onto the studs. Did I do something wrong? If I adjust the master cylinder will it affect this?

Take the cap off of the clutch fluid res and then try it. You need to give it room for fluid expansion of the hydraulics.

You need to press that pushrod into the slave cylinder, it can be done with your hand. There is a spring that pushes that pushrod out of the slave cylinder when pressure isnt on it. Make sure to remove the cap when you do this.
