Problem Down shifting

I have a 1994 z28 (automatic) , does not want to down shift after a complete stop. already swapped the tranny , does the same thing now. Trouble codes that pop out when scanner hooked up are: (84) 3-2 shift control circuit malfunction.....

i would appreciate any help / tips / opinions

The drivetrain forum is a better place to post a question like this. There are some folks in there that are schooled in tranny stuff.

You might want to try changing the 3-2 down solenoid. It's a pretty simple thing to do. just an electrical connector, and a clip. You just need to drop the pan to get to it. If you want to tackle it yourself, let me know, and I'll walk you through it. I can hook you up with a supplier to get the solenoid from, too.
