pro 5.0 shifter

pro 5.0 shifter

Do you use a rubber boot on the top of the pro 5.0 shifter base?

About 12 years since I did this, but as I recall, you re-use the factory boot. But instead of the boot going over the shift lever, it has to have a ~3" circle cut out of it so it only surrounds the gold anodized cuircular base of the shifter, that holds the stop bolts. I found this pic online:

Just in case anyone was wondering the thread size on the pro 5.0 power tower steel handle is 16mm x 1.5.
