Pressure plate not mated with flywheel?
I've posted separately here about the clutch not disengaging.
Thinking back to the install, there was one thing that occurs to me that was not as expected. When we bolted up the pressure plate to the flywheel, it hit 15 ft-lbs prior to the pressure plate edges actually touching the flywheel. We pulled it off and tried it again working in a star pattern. Same result.
Is this right? If not, what would cause this?
