Powerglide wont shift into 2nd?

Powerglide wont shift into 2nd?
After some transbrake launches with nitrous, powerglide stopped shifting into 2nd.
Fluid smells a little burnt, but not bad.
Has a manual valve body as well.
So, what would be likely culprits? My instincts lead me to clutches, but wondering if it could be something else.
Just wondering on some ideas before I tear it apart only to find its something else and have to wait a week or two on parts and forget how to put it back together.
