power glide good or not good for my combo?

power glide good or not good for my combo?

I spoke with ATI and they seem to think my car wouldnt 60' with a glide because of the weight and rear gear. What are your thoughts?

3700 with me in it-
3.50 rear gear-
28" tall tire-
car stalls at about 4500 leaves with 650rwhp

Why do you want a powerglide? You have the HP, but to much weight from what Iv'e heard over the years. Would the 3.50 not be enough gear with that set-up.

A glide is more suited for a light car....anything over 3200# I would go with a TH400

I thought about a 'glode when I had an automatic in the Camaro. I didn't have quite as much HP but did decide on a TH400 and also think you would have problem leaving hard with a 'glide at 3,700lbs.

yeah i ended up going with the 400. Anyone know what the driveshaft length is for a turbo 400 in a 94 camaro. I got one coming and wanted to go racing this weekend but need to get a drive shaft made now
