Possible damage to 10 bolt - Pics Within

So I've been battling this low speed grinding noise and a certain howl at speeds around 35 to 50 mph. This was a pic that I took a while back of the inside of my 10 bolt. I've been battling this noise since last year when my gears were set up by my father and I. We think we did right as far as set up and the rear end has held up fine for months. But while we were in there, I noticed this crack within the posi. I'm going to assume that I need to replace this ASAP. I've never seen this kind of cracking happen to the parts of posi. Any idea where I could order these parts from? And could this be attributed to my noise problem?

I'm running 3.73's in my 10 bolt with an A4. The gears themselves have around 20k miles on them.

The best I can say is give these guys a call and see if they offer those parts on their own? (motive). I don't know if you could buy those internals from GM or not?

The problem is, is that I don't even know what these internals are called. I mean, I know it's all a part of the posi unit...but I've been searching on the net too, and I can't squat. I can find posi units for 4 and 5 hundred bucks all day long, but not the individual parts.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Check out DTS they have these, this and these should be able to help you...

But the spyder gear kit and clutch packs can cost you almost as much as a new posi unit, this is why most places just sell the posi unit, good luck with it though...

I checked out the links you provided and sent them an e-mail. Thank you very much!

I may end up buying a new posi if I can't get those individual parts. (Which wouldn't be the end of the world, but I was just hoping to save some money.)

Thanks again!
