Is it possible/any benefit to having 2 transmission coolers?

Got a new car and ordered a tranny cooler before I got the car-I didn't realize it already had one installed. I haven't looked too much to see if there is even enough room, but is there any benefit to having a second tranmission cooler to keep it even cooler?

Thanks,
Erik

Don't really have an answer on a 2nd cooler, but I have a B&M 24K mounted horizontally under the right front (dope style), without a guage, but I've seen posts where the trans temp rarely, if ever, gets above 180 deg with it mounted this way. My TC doesn't lock until my water temp is 141 deg, don't know if the PCM looks at trans temp too - there's enough room for 2 coolers, but don't think you really need both IMO.

22K cooler, BBK deep pan, 3800 stall Vigilante here.

in hot weather, it'll see 180 if i beat on it a bit, usually around 170.

overall, i think 1 cooler will be ok. you might want to put a gauge in though, it's always good to have.
