Re: Posi question

When you turn your posi unlocks, and only lets one wheel get power. The outside wheel will always travel a greater distance so it has to unlock, otherwise the outside wheel would drag.

Re: Posi question

Wheel hop is from the lower control arms not having the right angle to push the axle down. A bad posi would not do that. If your car is lowered you need relocation brackets for the LCAs. If you have wheel hop without it being lowered, I would probably get LCA relocation brackets anyways.

Re: Posi question

Also might want to consider checking your shocks. I see in your sig that your car is a 97. Close to 10 years on your shocks. Make sure there are no leaks (wetness around the housing shafts) push down on the rear end, should not bounce but return to it's original position smoothly and stay.

Re: Posi question

Well then sense it's lowered, and you have LCA's, you need the brackets. Make sure you get the wield in type. This site offers the best price and free shipping. http://byunspeed.com/product_info.ph...cdf94c81e6dc91

That will get the wheel hop fixed.

Re: Posi question

There's been no proven difference in strength or performance between bolt in and weld in.

Re: Posi question

Wasn't talking about strength, I was referring to the safe and effective way". I'm just offering up MHO. In the end, he can chose what he would like regardless of what any of us say.
