pop pop @ stop

Maybe someone can give me a little direction...I have a 94 A4 car...when I am at a stop light and I ease up a little I get a pop or pop pop noise that I can't pinpoint...sounds like it could be comming from the passenger side...only when I'm stopped or <5 mph....doesn't happen all the time but often enough...any ideas on what to look at? The axles have no endplay...can't hear it by pushing down on the car, picking it up, or rocking it....I have pushed the car around and can't hear it....any ideas? thanks!

I get the same "popping" noise from my front brakes if I ease up at all on them at a stop... Just means your car is trying to go forward while your brakes are tring to hold it.. and with you easing up on the brakes, the preasure is not enough to keep it from just slightly moving.. causeing a poping sound

well that's where it is confusing to me....it almost seems like it happens when I let off the brakes and the car tries to load....I'm going to go in and see if I can get it to stop...makes me think something else is going on...thanks for the info..
