McLeod said they have never heard of anyone doing this. I'm curious how many people have had it happen

the original's did that.. but then they widened the hub on the disk's which fixed the issue.. i've used my twin for on/off now for about 4 yrs.. and no issues.. poor poor driveshaft though

I had an early Street Twin. Came out of an 800HP LT1. He never had an problem with the input shaft (I still have his tranny in my garage), and I never had a problem for the time I ran it in my setup.

That's what I figured broke the first shaft; lots of racing and 170k miles. But the second tranny I had completely rebuilt <6 months ago and I was out of the state and country for 3 of those months. Only trashed two so far but I dont feel confident in Mcleod anymore. I may sell it and go with a Spec or something

Well due to circumstances I had to put the street twin back in after they rebuilt it and it wasnt shimmed right. It will barely go into reverse and is slipping already after break-in. I'm done with Mcleod. Ive got a Spec flywheel on order and Im putting in the 3+

Danhr,
Is it back together yet? Just thought I would see how it went since I talked to you last Saturday.

nope... clutch got sent out to mcleod. I asked them to rebuild my clutch with the new, stronger hubs, and possibly give me some sort of compensation for the damage done to my input shaft. My car only has bolt ons, so has ~300 hp, which is considerably less than the 1200 hp rating from mcleod, so it is my belief that I was sold faulty equipment. I will post an update when i get one. All I can say is that if mcleod doesn't hook me up w/ ATLEAST a new clutch, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

and where did you talk to me at? you name isn't ringing a bell?

I was at JJ's helping you take your harmonic balancer off.
