Performabuilt Stage 2 bites the dust after 16k

Giving a heads up. Mods in sig. No nitrous or FI. I used the convertor and cooler they supplied. She went with a whimper. Was driving on the highway and everything seemed fine. I hit some traffic and had to slow down to about 25 and suddenly it felt like the converter was extremely "loose" I'd hit the gas and it would almost feel like it was free revving and would slowly creep forward. Pulled over to check the dipstick and it was full but had some nice shiney shavings on it. This isn't a race car, strictly a weekend toy. The transmission has been in there 2 and a half years with only 16,000 miles on it. Oh well blew a stock 4l60e and now blew a "built" one. Time to just save up and get a t56.

Im sorry to hear you had a failure. Just a note while you would not be in warranty in that time we do have the restore option its 995 and includes shipping both ways all parts and labor and give you a new warranty.
Just something to consider

Does that also include new converter?

Rebuilding the converter also is 170 more . and that would also result in a 2 year warranty.

I'm sorry but just out of warranty and only 16 k miles for a weekend car, I'd want to know why it failed. It would go back so Frank could inspect it.
