Panhard Bar???

Anybody have any recommendations?I went with a Moser 9" and it seems like I remember reading that other people have had bad wheel hop after the install, which I have.I guess I need an adjustable one right? Are they relatively simple to adjust?Need recommendations on brands as well.
Thanks,
JE

Re: Panhard Bar???

i'm pleased with my bar from Spohn
i purchased the poly/rodend unit (poly on the body side and rod end on rear end side)
it puts the adjuster down at the drivers side mount making it easy too get too and adjust with it on the car

you will need a 1" and 1 1/8" wrench's too adjust it tho (or 2 large crescent wrenches)

whatever you do, dont buy a non adjustable version (from any manufacturer)..they are about as useless as the stock piece

Re: Panhard Bar???

The only "adjustment" to the bar is changing the length to center the body side-to-side over the rear axle. I don't really see that as a cure for wheel hop. A stronger bar will help, and more rigid bushings or rod ends will reduce deflection. Centering the body will keep the car going straight down the track.... but I don't know about curing wheel hop.

Re: Panhard Bar???

The best thing I ever put on my car was the Spohn LCA relocation brackets..... It'll launch on a 125-shot with no wheel hop now. Before those, even with the Spohn LCA's, torque arm and panhard rod, along with Eibach drag launch springs and QA1/HAL shocks, the rear axle would lift and hop. The relo brackets fixed the problem.

Re: Panhard Bar???

I'm pretty happy with my BMR adjustable panhard bar. Took about 15 min to put in. Can't say how much it did since I replaced front and rear sway bars at the sametime along with droping the car with Eibach sportline springs.

Re: Panhard Bar???

Not sure where I heard that the panhard bar would solve the wheel hop, maybe I thought I read it somewhere.I only wanted to get the panhard bar if it solved my wheel hop.Not sure which in the picture is the LCA relocation brackets.I'll check out Sphon site and see if I can get a pic of them off the car.
Thanks man,
JE
