operation of a 4l60e
i know i have power on the pink wire going into the 4l60e for the seloniods. but the car isnt in first. it stays in third i do believe. is there a way to see if you can manually shift the selonoids? or any troubleshooting methoids?

I sent you a few diagrams in your e-mail that might help.
Do you have any SES lights?
Does your speedometer work?
3rd gear is "limp mode" in a '60E. This means both solenoids are OFF.
If you've got 12V on the pink (E) wire, then the transmission isn't getting the ground signals to fire the solenoids.
