How many miles are you at?
I typically change mine every 10-20K, but I'm a little exteme with maintance.. Most people run 20K-40K.
It's not that hard, and not that expensive, maybe $30. Go to Autozone and pick up a differential cover gasket, some Ultra Black or Ultra Copper RTV, Mobil 1 gear oil. Then make a stop at your local GM dealership and get a bottle of Limited Slip Additive. That's all she wrote.
I'm planning on showing up tomorrow to Como, so I can talk you through it. I'd offer to help ya, but I'm STILL NOT in my house W/my own garage with my tools.
