now i know this has been asked 1000 times...

But i did a search and looked around all day and couldnt find the answer i was looking for. Im looking for an affordable stall that will help with my mods in the sig. I also do almost 100% city driving and gas is already a killer so i dont want anything too lethal? Once this question is answered ill begin my search.

thanks to all

These are my thoughts and nothing is substanciated...

Are you looing for an affordable company or a well performing stall that won't kill your budget and performance?

You can go cheap but it will effect performance, be less efficient, and gas mileage may suffer. You can find something middle of the road and get OK performance and OK efficiency. Or you can go high end that gets you good performance and almost no other losses. Figure out what is most inportant to you.

I say cheap is TCI or B&M converter.
Middle being Pro torque, Edge and maybe a few other.
Good includes Vigilante, Fuddle, and all the high dollar custom ones out there.

As for mileage and performance tradeoffs, for your mods I say 3000 - 3200 or more stall would be great for performance, but might hurt milage a little more. 2800 - 3000 would be middle of the road for each. > 2800 would be better for gas milage but give you not much more of a performance gain.

So combine these 2 aspects (company efficiency and stall rpm) to figure out what will be best for you application. Meaning if you go High stall B&M then your peformance will be held back due to efficiency and your milage will skyrocket, and on the other end if you go with a low stall Vig then your performance wil still be OK but it will be efficient and milage should not be effected much. If you want a top perfomer the choose from the top of both lists as far as performanc goes, it's simple...

Re: now i know this has been asked 1000 times...

well i noticed fuddle has a street one for $295.. thats cheap and its also listed as one of the better in your post. I would definately go with that one but it says it only has a stall speed of 2400 which probably wouldnt give me much of a gain i would think. Ill probably get a fuddle around the 2800 range. I guess the performance series would be best for me then.. even if it is a little more then id like to spend. Does anyone have information on Fuddle and their street series and performance series? i also found a 2800 from yank for $450... http://www.converter.cc/inventory/GM...al_motors2.htm
also how will this effect my rear end?

If your tranny is setup right a converter should not effect it, as long as you have a good cooler on it. I am not going to try to scare you or push any ones buttons but that TG shiftkit might cause you more issues then the stall...

As for your tune question is depends on what you get, if you go with a fuddle at around 2800 there should be nothing else needed in the tune, but if you went higher there are chances you will hit the "stall wall" or "OBD1 High Stall issue" and need the tune to correct it, look it up and ou'll find more info on it...
