Okay... I have a 95 Trans am, with a 4L60E automatic....So i have about 7,000 miles since my last tranny rebuild... The car has been sitting for a couple months because I've been busy and it needed some brake work... SO I finally finished working on it, i drove it around for about three days, and the other night on the way home third gear was just gone... runs through 1st and second fine, but third gear is just mush... no matter how high i rev it, it just stays the same speed... if i run through 1st and second hard i can get it into 4th and it runs 4th fine.... Please tell me theres something else i can do besides rebuild or replace...

 

I hate to be the one to tell you this but I don't know of anything that would help you other then replacing the broken parts, esentially you need a rebuild!!
