New WS6Store shortshifter

I just got a WS6 Store short shifter for my 2001 SS.
And 2nd,4th, and 6th, is back against the console. Is this normal or can the console be adjusted easily to accomodate this?

my umi shortstick does this on a stock shifter. It led to a broken "thing that holds the boot. But I love it anyways.

I have the extra short stick from ws6store with a hurst short throw shifter, no issues...
Not sure why you have them.
