New Transmission In park?

Should the wheels move while the car is in park? I have a new tranny and have tried all of the selections and it moves in everyone. Now i have not put fluid in it but i dont think that would change anything. What do you guys think?

if there's no fluid in it...that actually could be the problem, as the fluid serves as the coupling between engine, and tranny...no fluid = no link...

But it shouldn't move in park...there's a little "catch" that grabs the insides of an auto tranny when in 'park', so nothing shouldn't move...

You could have your shift pattern backwards. I'd pull the pan and check. IE Your Park is actually 1st, R is 2nd, etc.
