New spec stage 3 clutch or use stock 1???

Im done with my engine rebuild and getting ready to put it all together. I will be pushing apprx 415fwhp, do I need a spec stage 3 clutch or can I reuse my stock one? My stock one looks real good still so I would like to use it, but if it will burn up real quick then its stupid not to change it now. Any ideas

415 front wheel hp Assuming you mean rwhp, I have the spec stage 3, I had one of the first spec stage 2's before and it was defective. They relplaced is for free of course, and my lightweight billet flywheel. Depends on what you can tolerate. I can tell you, the spec stage 3 is either ON/OFF, there is no rev up or no transition. Your either going or stoping. Its rough...but then agian I can tolerate alot so its fine to me....if your picky about that, I belive the spec stage 2 can handle upto 450rwhp. Main diffrence between the stage 2 and stage 3, is the stage 3 is no longer a round disc, it is a puck style disk. So, pretty much with what you can deal with, and what you plan to do with your car get stage 2 spec if your staying how you are, get spec stage 3 if you plan to mod more, and track her alot. Better to have a beefier clutch then lack a clutch to handle your plans in the future. Its a monster of a clutch.

I got a defective stage 2 as well. .. and It sucked .. stage 3 is def nice ... if your going for more power go for the 3 ... unless you plan on making your car slower for some reason don't see why not... although my Z is my daily driver ... I'd sacrifice comfort for performance anyday. Pullign the transmission gets boring after a while .. oh-well... got it down to under 2 hours now....
