New Converter suggestions
I'm probably going to have to replace my converter since the lock up seems to be going. I figure since I'm replacing it, I might as well go with a performance one. My car and mods are in the sig, its a daily driver, which makes at the most 6 track passes a month, but thats rare. What would be the best choice (Brand, stall size) for a lock up converter? Part #'s are also appreciated if possible.
Thanks,
Keith

You are going to get lots of suggestions...My recommendation is a Precision Industries 9.5" Vigilante...Its gonna set you back about $700, However, these things are built like tanks. I got 5 solid tenths at the track with mine. It drives like a stock type converter until you mash the gas, then all hell breaks loose. Mine has been in my car since 1996. I just sent it back for a freshening ($225) and Vicki said that the lock up clutches were a just a little worn! Not bad for 8 years and 420rwhp!!! With a Vigilante you get a 2 year unconditional warranty and a free stall upgrade. My advice on stall speed would be to call them and go over your combination and goals for your car...I have a 3600 stall with lock up behind my 383. In my opinion you definitely get what you pay for... www.converter.com
