Need some professional opinions.

I just bought a 1996 camaro 5.7 and as most do i was driving and went to shift to third and nothing. So i'm guessing it's the third and fourth clutch burnt. Anyway i was taking it this coming week for a rebuild. Should i put a shift kit in it? if so what kind? What kind of rebuild kit should i get? and whats the avg. price of getting one of these rebuilt and a shift kit installed? Thanks for your help

Sadly, you won't get many replies here anymore. I'd suggest contacting a reputable vendor and see what they recommend. Expect some downtime on the turnaround unless you just send yours in as a core.

Jegs/Summit have quite a few companies. A local company here is pretty good and they ship around the world. Their company is called http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml

If you'd like, I can drive over and take pictures of their shop. They're within 10 minutes of my house. Just PM me. As for cost, I'd say you're looking at about a grand for a rebuild. More for high zoot parts. That's if you change it yourself. Labor would cost about $500.

I put in a TransGo installed in HD mode and loved it.
