Need some Ford 9" help...
I purchased this rear used, and some of the details have been hard to come by.
From what I'm led to believe the housing was built by Currie, and I have visually confirmed that it has a C7AW-E 3rd member casing, Ford Trac-Lok diff, and Strange 4.11's, and 31 spline axles after I opened it up. The case had no identification markings.
I'm changing out my pinion seal due to a pretty bad leak, and the last thing I need to identify is whether I have a crush sleeve or a solid spacer. Can this easily be determined once I pop out the pinion seal? Or does it require a bunch of disassembly to find out? Reason I need to know is so I know how to end up tightening down the pinion nut on reassembly so I don't destroy the crush sleeve if I have one, or know to just torque it down with a solid spacer.
Any help from someone who's worked on one would be appreciated.
