Thanks for the offer blownxtreme. I`m not quite ready (money) yet to buy anything. Was curious of the LT4 PP. I`m still looking into my options. How was your McLeod single disc setup? Steel FW? Any chatter? Do you know what the disc material is? Where in MD are you ?
Thanks
-Chad

i have the Mcleod billet steel flywheel, and their heavy duty disc I'd have to double check but I'm pretty sure it's kevlar, on the street it feels like a stock clutch with a little firmer pedal feel the pressure plate they use is an LT4 pressure plate, as much as I ve researched everyone (centerforce,Mcleod,SPEC etc.) all use the same pressure plate made by valeo just painted a different color. I have a little chatter with the clutch out and the car running while in neutral but what everyone tell's me that is normal nothing to worry about and it'f fine even in stop and go traffic, the street twin as much as i love it i would hate having to drive it everyday in stop and go traffic, the one reason i went ahead about bought the street twin was becuase this isn't my Daily driver, it was when i used the single disk and that held up just fine. I also live about 1/2 way between baltimore and D.C. in silver spring, I'm in no rush to get ride of this clutch it's been sitting here for almost a year just thought i could help someone out who need's one. if you do decide you want it you always welcome to look it over first, or even just look it over.

I have the McLeod Dual Performance clutch and pressure plate and I'm using a SPEC billet flywheel. They use the Valeo pressure plate aluminum housing, but if you compare it to the stock pressure plate housing, you can see the springs are much heavier. (I don't know if it's true, but I understand that Valeo has a patent on that design so that's why everyone uses it for the LT1 pull style clutches) The clutch disc uses composite pucks on the flywheel side and a conventional looking organic material on the pressure plate side, but the main thing that makes it so streetable is the heavy marcel spring between the organic disc and the clutch hub. I have about 700 miles on this clutch now and to me it drives just like a stock clutch.

No track time yet, so I can't say how it will hold up there.

from what i've gathered the aftermarket uses the lt4 pressure plate which is suppose to be a little bit stronger then the stock lt1, and when i talked to Mcleod about this he did not mention a patent, but said for them to desgin a new pressure plate the cost wouldn't be worth it when this one works just fine.

Right and if you want to save yourself some money then get the LT4 pp through a discount parts dealer like Jason Cromer... it used to be right around $200.
