I have the 700R4/4l60 out of my 93 TA and I am wanting to rebuild it to be a street strip tranny. does anyone make a manual reverse valve body for the 700? also what would be the best rebuild kit for it, one that will hold up to around 500 HP? also I was just wondering if anyone could diagnose what was wrong with the tranny. here is what happend, I was runing it really hard and when i let out on the gas I fealt a vibration, i hit the gas and it just reved up. so I came to a stop and when i took off it would take off and drive fine the only problem is it would not shift untill 3000 RPM but it would go through all the gears. if I did not take it to 3000 and let out on the gas and hit the gas again it would rev back up to the RPM it was at before I let out kind of like it had a stall in it.

 

i am unaware of a reverse or full manual valvebody for a 700, i have one that lets me hold any gear any time or downshift any time, which, combined with my ratchet shifter,is almost the same.

as far as the shifter if you want a bolt in i think only B&M makes one, the Megashifter[i'm alittle rusty on the 4th gen info] but if you want to fab up something B&M and Hurst [Quarterstick] both have race-type ratchets.
