need a little help

hey all new here..got a 1994 z28 camaro..got a question for all you experts ..

ok one day i was going down the road and got behind slow drivers doing 15 in a 35 zone so i had to keep pushing my brakes in i would say like 31 time in 10 min but after i was able to go my rpms droped from 2400 to 2000 it has never done this before.......i have lost alot of power i think my torque converter has desided to start locking up in OD when it should not with the way the car is set up... its fine when its cold till about 10min driving then rpms drop like crazy.. when i have to stop at a stop light or im going slow and it shifts into OD and the TC locks up and i let off the gas it starts to bog down..

when it locks up my car shutters bad and i give it gas the rpms wont go anywhere unless i give it more then half throttle...... if i tap the gas the rpms will go back to where they suppose to be then drop again about 7 sec later...ive got magna flows on it and it sounds like a 4 banger when it use to sound like a monster truck .... any help will be great

edit = i can press the brake in just enough to unlock the TC and it drives and goes fine but i dont wanna drive with the brake pedal in lolol

Let's move this to the "Drivetrain" forum, since you aren't getting any results in LT1 Based Engine Tech.

No you cant just unplug the wire that will put it in limp mode, You need to get a scanner on it and see whats happening to cause lockup so early

thanks for the reply

ive already took it to a chevy dealer and they couldnt find any codes at all after messing with it for 2 hours i got a tcc solenoid coming in at autozone tommorow cheaper then what i thought it was going to be only 26.72.... im going to put in and hope for the best cause it will lock up in 3rd gear to and some times 2nd..i go from OD about 60MPH and then drop to 45MPH and put it in 3rd gear it wont lockup for a while then it will after a few stops at like 3 stoplights
