need help making my 12 bolt stronger / choice of posi/locker/spool

So its probably cheaper to fix my 12 bolt than sell it and buy a 9 inch... i need some advice on what to do so it'll hold together later on

1) i need a better yoke, where to buy one? which one? how much $ approx?!
2) i need a better posi, rebuild mine? put in a locker? spool? (my current one is the "14 clutch" posi from strange, not sure who makes it)
3) i need to replace the u joint in my DS, whats the strongest u joint i can get ?! it is a 1350 needless to say (a conversion 1350 ) .. it was a spicer brand i believe .. anyone make a better u joint ?

also how much would i be looking to pay for a locker, where to get one and which one to get?!

thanx .. sorry about all the Qs...

ps. i guess u know ur posi is pooched if u turn one wheel freely the other turns in the opposite direction

pps. about the choice of posi Vs locker, the car does get street driven a few times a month, and i do like to take her autoxing and toss her around the corners hard (QA1s work wonders) .. so id rather keep a posi in the pumpkin, but if the "best posi strange offers" lets go so quickly under so little power (380 rwhp NA).. then what other posi options do i have ?! would putting in a locker totally be unacceptable for hard cornering and street driving ? i know a spool is pretty much out of the question .. just deciding if i can get a bullet proof posi or move upto a locker

I checked with Dan tonite. He said when we did mine last time(fried carrbon Eaton clutches) he could not find a Locker for a 33 spline 12 bolt. I also did not want to go with a spool for the same reasons as you.

As far as the yolk I would get a forged or billet unit with 1350 joint. then have a Dennys N2O shaft built to fit it.

A full 1350 joint is strong. Dennys uses the strongest joint you can find.

Later SID!

Mark Williams makes a billet yoke.

The 1350 U-joint is plenty strong, I doubt that it was a point of failure. What exactly went wrong with yours? Was it properly installed? Over-torquing them can cause failure.

I don't think you do not want a locker in a car that sees more than occasional, brief street use. Drive one before you buy one to see if you can stand it. I couldn't. Very pronounced "clunk" you can feel and hear when it locks/unlocks. A spool is completely unsuited for the street. I am using an Eaton posi.

Something was wrong about your rear end other than the design if it failed quickly with 380rwhp. A defective part, incorrect installation, etc.

One thing I had meant to ask in your other thread. On one of your last burnouts did you noticed if just one tire was getting smoke? If you don't have both tires spinning equally in the box then the posi usually will get hurt pretty bad and only last a couple or so more runs.
