changing the clutch out. got everything out and the clutch/bell housing reinstalled. But now, we cannot get the tranny input shaft through the clutch and flywheel if our lives depended on it. any tricks, it seems like we have tried everytyhing. thanks for any help, we need it!

 

check for anything blocking the shaft. dont forget to check the pilot bushing/bearing.

check the alignment if the clutch and pilot

then make sure you can get the tranny straight with the engine. i had a problem with a lt1 car that the custim welded exhoust wouldnt let the engine turn down enough to align the tranny. finally had to undo the exhoust.
