Need help with 6M removal

I am trying to install a new clutch on a 1997 LT1 car and we can't get the transmission out of the car
with it let all the way down the top of the trans hits the body of the car in the transmission tunnel
it will only go back about 1 inch
I even jacked up on the front of the car to make it flex down in the center a litte and it did not help I tried to take the trans loose from the bell housing and I can't get the throwout arm loose
any help would be nice

When you say you "jacked up on the front of the car to make it flex down in the center a litte" do you mean you jacked the front of the engine, and the trans still didn't tilt down far enough to back it out? I've never seen one where that didn't work.

As far as the clutch fork, get it off the T/O bearing BEFORE you try and move the trans.
