Need clutch for 425 hp
Need clutch for 425 hp
I am still running the stock clutch with 75,000 miles on it with the mods in the signature. As you can imagine, it's not exactly up to the task. The clutch seems to slip out at higher RPM. It gives a feeling like the tires are spinning, but they aren't.
What kind of clutch setup would work for me? I only race occasionally at the track and never on the street.

Definetly a spec clutch. www.speclutches.com
I'm going to upgrade to the Spec (Star) stage III soon, it can handle around 600hp. Here's some info on it from the drivetrain section recently:

Thanks for the answers. Is anyone running the SLP lightweight setup? I am wondering how the Spec stage 3 would be. I don't have as much torque as what they list for the stage 3. I don't really want a clutch that's going to be like a light switch -- either on or off.
