Need to beef up my rear end without getting new one

what should i get so i dont break anything when i launch

(axles etc.) I already got my spec stage 3 clutch put in, and next week im having some nitto's and 4.10s put in (other mods in sig)

i just want to be safe and not break anything when i launch(worst case sen.)

also are 315 nittos a must on some 4.10s or are the 275 good enough

this is the only article i have ever seen about beefing up a 10 bolt...not sure if the third gen 10 bolts are exactly the same...but i think some of the stuff might translate over if they arent the same

I think CHP just did an article on the 7.5 10 bolt....Moser says that with their 28 splined c clip axles, their gears, and a TA style cover it will handle 400rwhp...

from what i have seen it is NOT posable to beef up the 10 bolt. you can make it a little stronger but in the end it will blow. If i were you i would just do what i did do and save for a 12 bolt

Not to start any wars, but I have the TA diff. cover and have broken three sets of gears with an A4 on street tires. I highly doubt the 7.5 can take anywhere near 400Hp! Also, wasn't there a rear end on the thrid Gens, that came in 8.5"?

I don't know, I have heard of guys running into the mid-11s on the 10 bolt, running drag radials. That would be a fair amount of power if you ask me.

Anyway, it all depends how they got to the "handeling 400 rwhp." Do they mean handle as in 1 good pass down the track, or just being able to make a 400 rwhp pull on the dyno. Or do they mean into a strip car that makes many passes a year. It all depends in the context that they arrived at their claim. But I hear Moser makes good stuff

Anyway, I blew the stock posi to pieces last year. I didn't have the money to invest in something bulletproof and I wanted to get going.

I did the TA girdle, solid pinion spacer, Eaton posi, and US/Strange Gear 4.10. I am going to the track on Wednesday, and plan for it to hold. Granted I am a bolt-on car, but the M6 can unleash a fury. I may have my buddy weld the axle tubes up though.

I believe that the 7.5 is weak...however....I've been running stock axles, a Pro Auburn, GM 3.42 gears, Red Line fluid, stock cover and 420rwhp thru BFG DRs since 1995....1.60's - 1.70's 60's..the only casualty was an Aurburn wearing out...Since I've had the Pro Auburn (1998) no probs.....guess I'm just lucky I do realize that M6 cars are way harder on rears than A4's....
