so i'm about to turn onto the access road and the highway entrance is right there, i have a 93 z28 a4, so i drop the shifter down to 1st to controll the fish tail action a little bit, so i get on the highway and then the next time i try to put my car in reverse it doesnt go, it wasnt in neutral but it wasnt in reverse either, it felt like it was pulling but it wasnt moving anywhere, so i have a friend help me push it out of the spot cause drive still worked and then when i tried to take off it was taking off in 4th gear in drive so i'm like wtf?, my friend suggests putting it manually into 1st and see if it will go, it does, and then magically my drive and reverse start working normally again i don't get it, it works now but was that just a strange mechanical fluke or should i get it looked at? i check the tranny fluid and it was still fairly red and at a decent level, it didnt smell bad or anything, any advice? it has 101,000 miles on the original drivetrain
