to much bangage?????

to much bangage?????

hello my car is a 1998 ss camaro with hurst shifter and it has 105 thousand on it and when you go to shift it into second it is like it goes halfway and then when you realese the clutch it spits it back at you and grinds. it will also do this down shifting into first if you are going to fast. any suggestions or tech answers are appreciated thanks

There are a number of things it could be (master cylinder, slave cylinder, or a leak in the hydraulic lines that connect them, or just that the clutch lines need to be bled), but at 105k miles, my first question is this: have you ever replaced the clutch, or is it still the original? That's about how long they last.
