moser 12-bolt wheel studs

Ok so I have a moser 12-bolt rear end and I plan on switching to welds, are the wheel studs long enough and safe under race conditions for this? do I need longer studs?

Thanks!

I have 3" studs with the Welds, and they just barely poke out of the ends of the lugs. Not a Moser, but a Strange 12-bolt with 1/2" screw-in studs. You will need at least 2-3/4".

Thanks, is there a specific jegs or summit part number for the ones that you used?

what size are the factory ones? I guess 1/2.

I wonder if those would work?

509'' Knurl Wheel Studs
Late GM (F-body, Corvette)
12mm x 1.5
3.250" long
5 per package

Do the axles need to be removed to replace the studs?

Does your Moser have screw-in studs or knurled studs? The Strange came standard with two sets of screw in holes in the axle flanges - 12mm and 1/2". I don't know it the screw-in studs are standard of optional on the Moser.

3-1/2" studs will stick out at least 3/4" beyond the lugs. It will obviously cause a problem if you ever put stock wheels on the car, with the studs sticking wayyyyyy out of the lugs.

I will have to check on that then...I don't plan on running street rims on the car anymore, infact I only have the fronts because skinny's aren't the safest thing in the world.
