moser 12 bolt ?'s

how do i know what 12 bolt i have? my car already had it when i bought it. now i need new gears and when i looked on their site it showed "12 bolt competition" and "12 bolt pro street" i'm looking to run a 3.73 set up. just wondering if that would work w/ my 12 bolt.

Thanks

Andrew

Edit: also how do i know what series i need/have?

You should not use "competition" gears on a street car, they will wear out very quickly. They are not as hard as street gears and are consequently less rigid. They are better able to absorb the shock loads of hard launches with a hi-po setup. Street gears are harder, more rigid, and (much) longer lasting.

You should call Moser to verify, but I am pretty sure that thier rears all come with a 3-series carrier. At worst, you need to get yours apart to see what you have.
