Moser 12 Bolt install problem.
I just bought a used 12 bolt for 1600.00 The only problem i am having with it is that my car is a 94 with the reluctor ring on the ring gear and the 12 bolt is for 95 and new cars with the reluctor rings on both axles. What do i need to convert this over so that it will work? Is there a different harness that i need to make it work? How do the wheel speed sensors mount? Any input would be appreiciated.

It isn't the year of the car that determines where the sensors/reluctors are located. It whether the car has ABS only (3-channel, single sensor on the pumpkin) or ABS + TCS (4-channel, sensor on each rear axle backing plate). Since your car does not have TCS, you have to use the 3-channel setup. There's no conversion that I am aware of. You might look at installing a reluctor gear on the pinion shaft, but I'm not sure if you can accurately replicate the signal from the huge number of teeth on the reluctor gear for the carrier.

So can I just not hook it up? The ABS just wont work right? That wont bother me. It seems like there would be a way to use the same sensors and harness as a TCS car. Has anyone else delt with this problem?

I have the same problem but I don't worry about it. Infact I'm taking off the ABS hydraulic unit to lighten up the car. Its good you got a 12-bolt, now you can get that thing to hook up

Hey grease hows it goin? You get that motor in that you were tellin me about? So you just left everything unhooked? I guess ill do the same. Now i guess ill be dropping 30 some horse in RWHP like your car did huh? O well the 4.11 will make it "feel" faster prolly.

The engine is almost done. Its in its final stages of assembly and I got my built tranny back from CPT so it should be running within a month. I just have alot going on right now. You might not loose as much as I did putting the 12-bolt in because when I switch over to a 12-bolt I also added a Denny's driveshaft which feels like its 3 times heavier than the stock driveshaft. Plus I stalled my torque converter up to 4500rpm. Those three things made my rwhp go from 397 to 365

Well i got it all together. Just left the wire for the reluctor ring sensor off. I have an absINOP light now but o well. So you got the Denny Ds? Thats kinda funny cuz im gettin ready to order one also. Did you get the nitrous ready or another one. BTW, what gears do you have in your car? Ive got some 4.11 Richmonds and they are whine like crazy. Im gunna get some 3.73s i think cuz with the 4.11s im shiftin all the time. Lemme know what kinda numbers you put down with that new motor.
