Moser 12 bolt cover gasket, where to get?

I just went to a autoparts store here & got a 12 bolt cover gasket for a traditional 12 bolt for some 12 bolt equiped car, I didn't want to see if it fits 100% because just by looking at the Moser 12 bolt's cover gasket on there, the gasket I got is much different, what do you guys ussually get? Is there a specific vehicle year 12 bolt cover gasket that is bets to get, or do I have to go straight to Moser?

Matt.

I don't know about the Moser, but I found one that works on the Strange.

Went to autozone to get one, tell the guy that it's not a stock axle and I need to see a gasket for a 12-bolt GM axle, guy looks at me like I have 3 eyes, and 2 heads. Then catches an attitude with me and just asks what car is it for (One of these I don't know squat about cars, but I can type it into a computer guy).

Needless to say, 1 lucky guess, found an application that matches.

1969 Camaro

Fit perfect on my strange.

Yeah I tried this one & it fit perfectly too, but it leaked cuz the stupid Moser chrome cover is flimzy as hell & just doesn't seal, new oil started dripping out, had to pour it back out into a clean container & I used just plain RTV this time, except when I put the RTV on the cover I put the cover on wrong first so it smuged the RTV over the housing, its ok I guess but the rtv isn't nicely spread anymore, I tightened her up, seems to be fine.

Also, I used 1.5 bottles of GM limited slip additive, is that ok? It was acctually more like 1.3 bottles, reason being is cuz the first time I put 1 bottle in with oil, but then the gasket leaked so I poured the oil out & back in, & figured I'll add a bit more additive.

Plus I heard people putting in 1.5 bottles in 12 bolts anyways, is that ok?

Yea, the extra additive won't hurt anything. Just don't use ALL additive in the axle, I've kinda kept to the ratio of 1 bottle of additive to 1.5-2 qts of lube has always worked well.
