modifying clutch hydraulic system for quicker clutch movement...

I remember reading a couple years ago that LT1 or LS1 cars (I dont remember which) came with a small orfice in the hydraulic system to soften the clutch engagement which sometimes causes premature wear. Think I read it in GMHTP, not sure. Does anyone have any more info on this? Definitely want to maximize clutch life
