mcleod twin disk guys

got a chance to get one thats low mileage...i know it needs to be shimmed and stuff but anything to look for buying one used...figured guys with them might know a little more than i do...

hes local...i know what a burnt clutch/flywheel ect looks like...but this one has 2000 street miles on it and im saving 450 bux...seems like it could be a good deal

thats a great deal. I paid 750 used for mine. You can shim it yourself you just check and adjust the clearances between the disks/flaoter and the disks/flywheel. with a feeler guage.
As long as the flywheel/pressure plate are not in bad shape. I would go for it. the disks are generally thought to last about 10k highway miles
Hope this helps,
Kory
