Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

the only thing I don't like the amount of pedal travel it requires to disengage. I would like it a bit higher for quick shifts.

Pedal feel is like stock. It is a Valeo PP after all...

Thats exactly how mine is. Infact when we first put it in there was no clutch at all, we made the master adjustable now its just right at the floor and really hard to shift.

Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

I drove mine to work today and it's getting better.... Try driving around town for a while. It should come around.

Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

Pedal engagement is right around stock now. Hasn't started chattering yet, about 350 -400 miles to go...

Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

I had engagement problems with mine at first.

I have 2k on the clutch now and it feels fairly normal, if it doesn't come up a bit higher though I may do the homemade master cyl.

I have the 7500 disk and a spec PP.

Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

OK, It's been chattering for a couple days, and I've put around 475 miles on it(instructions say 450-500). I was on my way to go get the bottle filled and figured I better see how it shifts NA before I spray it. It won't even chirp second with the M/T radials. My old SLP clutch would chirp them easy before it wore ou. WTF????

Re: McLeod single: Will it hold?

I just talked to the mechanic that put my clutch in. When he had the flywheel resurfaced he was told it was still well within specs, so that's not it.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but when it was first fired up after the install, the fork was contacting the PP. We called Summit(where I got the clutch) and they said just to drive it for a few miles and it will be ok. We did that and it seemed to be fine...

Still slips going into second at WOT....
