McLeod disc + stock pp. Car won't go to reverse.

I stuck a McLeod 7500rpm disc and Valeo pp in my TA just to get it running. Now when I try to shift into reverse when the engine is running, it will not go. The only way I can get it to go into R is when the key is in the on position and the engine is not running. It also is pretty tricky to shift into 1st, 3rd, or 5th when I am driving...all the forward throw gears on the shifter

Is there air in the hydraulics? Do I need to shim something (I had the flywheel surfaced [.020 inch]). Will this disc not work with this pressure plate?

When I put in my mcleod disk with an slp PP, it engaged RIGHT off the floor and I have an adjustable master cylinder all the way out. But after it was broken in, it engages right at the top of the pedal, so I would just try to break it in a little bit on a hill or something and see if that helps.
