max power through the stock drivetrain

What is the maximum horsepower/torque that a stock 6spd tranny and drivetrain will hold up to as a daily driver before things begin to break. What is the first to usually break? Thanks

The rear end is the first to go. A stock 6 spd with sticky tires can break it.

With street tires you probably won't break either the tranny or the rear end unless you really abuse it.

Alright, good to know, so is there a number i can associate the breakages with in terms of horsepower?

No there isn't an HP number. Absolutely first you need to say whether you're using sticky tires and what type of use the car will get. For example if you're talking about driving on a road course, where you don't shock the drivetrain as much as a drag strip, the stock drivetrain components will be able to handle much higher horsepower than if you're talking about slicks and a dragstrip.
