Max power for a stock 10 bolt?

I'm sure this has been hit but couldn't find the thread. Using a ZZ4 with hot cam and 1.6 rockers with 380hp and 400 lbft of torque at 2200. Car is an 87 F-body road racer. Trans is a ST10.

Will the stock 10 bolt handle this if I don't launch it from a standing start? I have a Currie 9" but am reluctant to put it in because of the huge weight and inertia.

Any guidance here?

Why not, unless you drive like a dummy.

what gears you planning on running?? the higher the gears ...3.73...4.10s....the smaller the teeth on the ring gear...which means weaker.

for road racing you should be ok. its those 5k rpm clutch dumps on dr and slicks that thrash the rears.

yeah guys have wasted them on stock hp and street tires...but still.

run it till it breaks!!

The stock 10 bolts can't handle the shock of hard launches on sticky tires. Doesn't sound like you're going to be driving it that way so you should be OK.

Alot of people are running stock rearends with your power levels and greater and they have not broken anything. The key is how you drive it, as mentioned above, sticky tires and high rpm launches are a no-no.
