Im doing a conversion to a 5.3 controlled by ems pro and have no way to electronically control my transmission. I talked to the local tranny guy about putting a trans go Stick type shift kit in it that takes out all the electronic shifting. So i can live with a shifting car, He told me that he would need to put a vaccum modulator on there since when the electronics are disconnected it causes the pump to run max psi and I would burn up the pump. Also how can I control the lockup feature(thinking toggle?). Dont want tci tranny control or any of the others.

 

He is correct on the vac mod when using that kit and yes you can set up the lockup on a toggle switch
