manual valve body?
manual valve body?
Well, I have an A4 and was wondering about a manual valve body. I did a search and have been getting mixed answers. I would like to have my auto built up one day, and I want to be able to downshift while the car is in motion on the street. Is this what the manual valve body is used for? I am not too concerned about upshifting, I trust my computer know's when to better shift than me.... If I put this in my trans., would I have to manually upshift everywhere I went?
Re: manual valve body?
From the words of an awsome tranny builder, there is no good manual valve body or trans break body for the 4l60e.
If you want you can just push the gear selector down one to shift down on the highway. Once you have it wide open push it gently(dont hit nuetral) so then the computer will tell it to shift in the next gear. Ive done it countless times and my tranny has 110,000 miles on it...this new setup is killing it though.
Some will tell you its hard on it, but racing in general is very hard on a stock 4l60e.
