Don't know if anyone with an A4 cares, but I just recently checked the lvl 10 site, and they finally dropped their price on the Shiftronic. Still a bit pricey, but if anyone was thinking about doing this, they came down in price more than 60% It used to be $1100!!!!!

I don't understand, what exactly is the point?

If you floor it the computer will downshift for you. If you are cruising it will again select the correct gear.

Automatic transmission can do it automatically, there is no point in manually shifting an auto.

Not only that, but it still isen't like a manual because it only has 4 gears and the drivetrain loss of an auto.

Waste of money in my opinion. Much better mods for the A4 can be had for 400 dollars.

my tranny will only downshift to first if i'm going like 20mph or less.. i'd like to drop into first at like 30-35

 

I don't know anything about the specific product referred to here. But I do like my full manual VB "automatic". If I have to use a slush box, at least I want to be able to put it in any damn gear I please.
