Manual lockup switch???

How do I go about making one.

97 4L60E
94 reflashed PCM[Ed Wright]
95 wiring harness

Everything works fine, just the lockup that doesn't.

What wire on the tranny do I need?

Thank you!!!!

Re: Manual lockup switch???

I was thinking about installing a manual lockup switch myself and with a lot of research found a lot of dead links. I put a PM into one of the guys on here (RamAir95TA) who has don it and done a write-up on it. The link I found to his write-up is dead, so if I hear how it's done I will let you know!

Re: Manual lockup switch???

Funny how all the links are dead isn't it!!!!

I got this answer on another site.

I dont know how you would go about making a switch but on a 94 with the 4l60E im pretty sure the tcc lockup wire is the tan with black stripe wire in the transmission harness. On the computer the pin is in the blue cluster #11. After looking at the diagram it looks like you could just tap into that wire and then connect the other side of the switch to a 12 volt ignition. Im pretty sure on this but make sure you double check this with somebody else. The wiring diagaram says that wire is the Trans TCC CTRL but im pretty sure its the lockup your talking about.

Good luck!!!!!

Re: Manual lockup switch???

yeah it is the tan/black wire on the trans for 95 also. But, I have read things about running it to a switch then ground! That is why I don't know what to do, I don't know if it is through the switch to ground, or to power?

Big difference there!
