M6 x-member, TH-400...spacer? VSS sensor?

I recently put in a TH-400 using a M6 x-member & an Energy Suspension transmission mount. It bolts up fine, but I have heard that you still need a spacer. Is this correct and if so, how tall is the spacer?

Also, does the 4L80E use a VSS that can be used with my TH-400? Is it just as simple as popping the tailshaft out, put in the reluctor ring and put it back together?

If I can use the VSS from the 4L80E, what would be the GM part # for the VSS and reluctor ring?

Thanks

I found a picture on LJ's site and the part #'s for the VSS sensor and reluctor ring there.
